In this guide, you will prepare a Report from a saved Recipe. The example uses a Recipe called: Active patients with prescriptions for ESAs Your practice can use the same steps with any saved Recipe your team has access to.
The screenshots in this guide show the Report setup screens and table status. They do not show a downloaded patient spreadsheet.

Before you start

Open Reports from the sidebar, then select Prepare Report. PracticeMate opens the Prepare Report panel. The Prepare Report panel showing the Report name field, Select Recipe field, Expire after viewing option, Cancel button, and Prepare button.

Name the Report

Choose a name your team will recognise later. For this guide, use: ESA prescriptions review report The name is for your practice team. It appears in the Reports table after the Report is requested.
Good Report names describe the reason for the spreadsheet. Diabetes review patients - May is clearer than Report 1.

Select the Recipe

Open Select Recipe. Search for or choose the Recipe you want to turn into a Report. The Select Recipe menu open inside the Prepare Report panel, showing searchable Recipe options. For this example, choose: Active patients with prescriptions for ESAs Recipes define what the Report will contain. If the Recipe does not describe the right Patient Cohort yet, update and test the Recipe before preparing the Report.

Check the expiry option

PracticeMate selects Expire after viewing by default. Keep this option selected for most Reports. It means the Report will expire immediately after it is downloaded. Reports are also only available for 48 hours, even if they have not been downloaded.
Downloaded Reports may contain patient-identifying Practice Data. Keep the file only as long as your practice needs it, and follow your usual privacy process when storing or sharing it.

Prepare the Report

Check the name, Recipe, and expiry option. The Prepare Report panel completed with a Report name, selected Recipe, and Expire after viewing selected. Select Prepare. PracticeMate closes the panel and adds the Report to the Reports table.

Wait for the Report

The Report first appears with a Preparing status. The Reports table showing ESA prescriptions review report with a Preparing status and a success notification. Preparing can take a few minutes. Larger Reports may take longer. You can leave the Reports page and come back later. PracticeMate refreshes the table while the Report is preparing.

Download the Report

When the status changes to Ready, download the Report from the Reports table. You can select the Report name, or open the menu and choose Download Report. If Expire after viewing was selected, the Report expires after it is downloaded. If your team needs another copy later, prepare the Report again from the same Recipe.

Delete Reports you no longer need

Use the menu on a Report row to delete a Report. Deleting a Report removes it from PracticeMate. It does not delete any downloaded copies your team may already have saved outside PracticeMate.
